Robert E. Couts passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at the Laurels of Massillon following a period of declining health. He was born on March 12, 1933 in Newcomerstown, OH to the late William R. and Stella (Stonebrook) Couts. He grew up in Port Washington, OH and married his late wife, Carol Shepard on June 12, 1955. They resided in Canton, OH.
He is survived by his children, Cathi Koffel, Julie & Mike Mesaros, Jim & Brenda Couts, and 5 grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Doug Koffel and his sister & brother-in-law, Margaret and Vernon Stocker.
