Robert Mark Dresden

Robert Mark Dresden of Nashville, IL went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1:25 A.M. at his home in Nashville after a lengthy illness. He had attained the age of 68 years, 5 months, and 27 days.
Rob was born in Lansing, MI on October 4, 1954 the son of Jack and Betty (nee Gay) Dresden. He graduated from Brighton High School in Brighton, MI in 1973 and graduated from John Wood Community College in Quincy, IL in 1996. He was united in marriage to Peggy Obert in Pekin, IL on May 14, 1983, and she survives his passing.
Mr. Dresden worked at Northstar Dairy until his retirement in 2021. Rob was a great servant of Jesus Christ, always willing to help others. He was a faithful member of his local home church and the Nashville Lions Club. He was also a member of the Faith and Freedom Family Ministry. Rob had a passion for the unborn and tirelessly fought on their behalf at the local abortion clinic.
Rob was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Redwings, and Michigan State Spartan Football. He enjoyed spending time outdoors doing yard work, traveling to the beaches of Florida, but he especially loved golfing with his son. Rob was known as a very kind and helpful man and for his willingness to put others before himself. He always strived to bring happiness to those around him. Rob liked to have a good time and took great pleasure in watching others enjoying themselves.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Peggy of Nashville, and his son, Adam Dresden and wife Gillian of Columbia, MO. Rob is also survived by a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Roger; and a sister, Carol.
Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 7 P.M. with Nolan Clayton officiating.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville on Thursday from 4 P.M. until the service hour.
Graveside services with interment will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 11 A.M. in the St. Brigids Cemetery in Liberty, IL. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SSM Hospice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
