We celebrate the life of Robert Joseph Ellermann Sr., known to many as Bob.
Robert was born in Newark, New Jersey, on May 23, 1953, and was united with our Lord on April 21, 2025. He was 71 years old. Robert was in the oil field machinery business in the 1980s and into the 1990's then he worked owning Skid Row Pallet Company in Houston, TX for over 30 years.
He retired in 2023 and moved to Florida to be closer to his family.
He grew up in Newark, NJ, and in Harrisburg, PA, though he spent most of his life in Houston, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Grace Ellermann, his sons Matthew and Robert Ellermann Jr., his sister June Brown, and brother-in-law Mike Brown Sr. He is survived by his daughter Jena Lewis, his grandson Isaac Ellermann, and his nephew, Mike Brown Jr. & Cece Brown and their son Michael Brown III, and his niece, Dr. Emily Brown & her husband, Jeremy Thibodeaux, and their children, Colin, Victoria, Hanah, and Ella.
Robert was married in 1974 to Tricia Lewis Ellermann and divorced in 1990. He met his girlfriend Linda Lee in Houston, and they were together for 18 years before her death in 2019. Linda's sons, Christian and Scott, remain part of the family.
Robert enjoyed fishing, listening to live music, and playing pool. His music of choice was the Blues and Rock and Roll.
He always greeted you with a smile. He was just an easy-going kind of guy who got along with everyone.
