Robert “Bob” Flick Sr.

Robert "Bob" C. Flick Sr., of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born on January 1, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to his loving parents, the late Chester William "Bill" Flick and Josephine Cutrera Towle.

Robert is the beloved husband of 46 years to Martha Flick; adored father of Sandra Flick Mesa (Ricardo), Daniel C. Schmolke (Kristen), and the late Robert C. Flick Jr.; proud grandfather of Nicholas Bernal, McKaela Bernal, Domenic Mesa, and Bradley Flick.; and brother of Bryant Flick (Linda). He will be missed by his best friend and loyal companion, Max. Robert also leaves behind, to cherish his memory, a host of extended family members and friends all of whom he loved greatly.

A graduate of De La Salle High School, Robert furthered his education at Southeastern University and Delgado Community College. His academic pursuits laid the foundation for a successful career beginning at W&A Engineers, then Lane and Co., eventually leading to work at Manufab. His collaborative work experience in metal and steel fabrication led him to a successful co-ownership of Coastal Metal Works LLC, from which he retired seven years ago after 20 plus years of dedicated service.

Robert was a Louisiana sportsman at heart and loved the great outdoors. He found solace and joy in duck hunting, deer hunting, and fishing. His passion for these activities was only matched by his love for antique cars.

Robert was a man of faith and led by example. He made friends and told stories wherever he went. His generous heart and kind spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A Funeral Mass will begin in the chapel at noon. Following services, a reception will be held in the community room, concluding at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center Foundation are appreciated.
