Robert Michael Gosewehr Sr.

Robert M. "Bob" Gosewehr Sr., 61, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, after a long and admirable fight with stage 4 cancer. Throughout his journey living with cancer, he remained the positive and strong-willed person he was.
Bob was born September 6th, 1961, in Port Washington, WI to George and Carol Thelen Gosewehr. After graduating from Port Washington High School, he went on to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Space Satellite Communications Systems Operator, stationed in Okinawa, Japan and New Mexico. While in the service, he met his former wife and mother of his children, Tammy Kama Potter. After 10 years of service, he went on to complete a degree in Electronic Servicing at Waukesha Community Technical College. Bob spent a period of time living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan before moving to the Appleton area where he met the love of his life, Tracy Caldwell Gosewehr. Bob and Tracy were united in marriage on December 27th, 2017. The two worked together at Fox Valley Ethanol until his retirement.
Bob was a man of many hobbies and a true jack of all trades. He loved golfing, fishing, hunting, cooking and tinkering in the garage. He could fix, create, and do anything he put his mind to. In his youth, he was PADI open water dive certified. He was easy-going and adventurous, always having a smile on his face and a joke ready to crack. His family was his priority and he always made time for his friends. Bob was truly loved and adored by all who knew him.
He is survived in life by his wife Tracy Caldwell Gosewehr; his 3 children: Robert M. "BJ" Gosewehr Jr. (Rachael Dieringer) of Port Washington, Jennifer Hardenburg (AJ Hardenburg) of Sheboygan Falls, Hunter Lynch (Tyler Lynch) of Sheboygan Falls; and 2 step children: James Recore and Cashton Recore of Appleton. He was the fun-loving "Grandpa Bob" to his grandchildren: Jameson, Hazel and Cainan Hardenburg, Brooklyn and Kenley Gosewehr, and Winter Lynch. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother William J. "Bill" Gosewehr and sister Sue Morauski.
The family will be honoring Bob with a private military salute at Union Cemetery in Port Washington. A Celebration of Life will be open to the public at The Shipyard Bar in Port Washington, at 2pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
