Robert Wayne Hatton

Robert Wayne Hatton passed away March 28, 2025. He was the husband of Eleanor Peña Hatton, married 58 years. Born October 3, 1947, in Stanton, KY. He was the son of Robert Andrew and Wilma Rogers Hatton. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William Nelson and Sandford Wade Hatton, and his grandson, Andrew Cole Herald. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Dawn Reynolds (Bruce Quenon) and Cynthia Lynn Herald (Doug) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Preston Langley, Brooke (Nolan) Bailey, Dr. Blake Herald, and Parker Herald of Lexington; niece, Sondra Hatton; and seven great-grandchildren. He was raised Baptist and was a member of Gardenside Baptist Church for 53 years. He was a humble man who started off working in the car business. After serving in the National Guard, he became the owner of his own new car dealership, Freedom Dodge, in Lexington, and Freedom Nissan. He was the best friend to anyone who knew him. If he had a dollar or a thousand in his pocket, so did you. He loved his wife and daughters beyond words and never told them no. Family was extremely important to him, and for members of his family to respect one another. A 12pm service will take place Monday, March 31, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main St. Burial will follow at Hatton Creek Cemetery, in Stanton, KY. Visitation will be from 10-12pm at the funeral home. Pall Bearers will include Doug Herald, Parker Herald, Preston Langley, Robert Dale Allen, Bob Reynolds, and Shad Reynolds. Along with Honorary Pall Bearers, Bruce Quenon, Greg Peña, Reuben Peña, Enoch Roberts, Eldon Cox, Chad Bentley, Danny Beard, George Pompeo, and Jim Fightmaster.
