It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Horvath, who passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on September 13, 2025, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 28, 1956, in Rutland, Vermont, to Patricia Bellany and Robert Horvath.

Known for his warm heart and easy-going nature, Bob touched the lives of many throughout his years.

He is survived by three children, Nicholas Horvath and his wife Eliza of Cumberland, Maine, Courtney Horvath, of Ellington, Connecticut, and Lucas Horvath, of Coventry, Connecticut. He also leaves behind his four beautiful grandchildren, Meila, Diana, Noah, and Ryan, who brought great joy and pride to his life. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Bob is remembered fondly by many extended family members and close friends.

By trade he was an engineer and carpenter. Bob proudly served in the United States Air Force Security Forces defending his country from February of 1976 to January of 1980.

Bob will be remembered for his quiet strength, dry sense of humor, deep love for his family and unwavering kindness and countless memories he shared with those who knew and loved him.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd. (Rt 83), in Vernon, with a prayer service to begin at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. At the request of his family, burial will be held privately. All friends and loved ones are invited to attend and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests to raise a glass in Bob's memory. Though he may be gone Bob's legacy of love, laughter,

and devotion lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
