Robert Duane LaGrant, age 95, long-time resident of Roseville and Warren, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in Washington Township, Michigan. Robert was born October 20, 1929, in Detroit, the son of Harry and Ida (Cryderman) LaGrant. Robert graduated from Roseville High School and acquired numerous specialized certifications in industrial engineering. These efforts allowed him to have long-term employment with General Motors and Parke Davis as a stationary engineer. After retiring, he enjoyed long nature walks and bike rides at our local parks and through his Warren neighborhood. Robert served in the US Army Reserves for six years.
Robert is survived by his daughters: Mary (Gary) Jacobs, Kelly (Richard) Nawrocki and Roberta Susan (Thomas) Evans. Robert was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren: Lindsay (Stephen) Patrick, Corrie (Christopher) Wasilewski, Allison (Eric) Klemm, Amanda (Danny) McCoy, and Nick (Alyssa) Nawrocki. He was also the adoring great-grandfather to: Olivia, Bradley, Caroline, Mila, Marko, Matthew, Lucas, Roman, Blair, Ethan and Owen. Uncle to Victoria, Ostrander, a special niece.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Agnes (Stamatellos), their son, Michael Steven LaGrant; his siblings: Howard, Charles, Laurence, and Elinor (Emineth). He will be interred in the Spring at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Twining, Michigan.
