Robert "Bob" C. Leonhart, age 87, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024. He was born on October 25, 1936 in New Washington, Ohio to the late Charles and Leona M. (Smith) Leonhart. Bob graduated from Chatfield High School before working at Swan Rubber where he retired after 43 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Cleveland Browns and OSU Buckeyes, going to the woods and watching deer, farming, and making maple syrup.
He is survived by his children, Mike (Jennifer) Leonhart of Bucyrus, Lori Gonzalez of Findlay, and Darin Leonhart of Bucyrus; 6 grandchildren, Kyle, Dominique, Adrian, Char-Lynn, Josh, and Ann; 5 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth Leonhart of New Washington.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Stump and Margaret Leonhart and his wife, Ruth A. (Motter) who he married in 1991.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 7, 2024 at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in New Washington from 10:00 AM until the time of his graveside funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kevin Mohr officiating.
