Mr. Robert L. "Bob" McCleary, age 72, of Elkton, Maryland passed away on Sunday, September 28. 2025 at Accentcare Hospice Suite in Christiana Care Newark, Delaware surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware; he was the son of Lenna P. Watkins and Lewis A. McCleary. He grew up in Ocala, Florida attended Vanguard High School a part of the Class of 1968. Prior to retirement, Bob had a long career as a fence installer.
Bobby loved his New Orleans Saints Football team and being a "Who Dat Nation" fan. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and star gazing. Bob enjoyed his country music and watching Nascar. He loved Emmet Kelley memorabilia. He had a great sense of humor to those that knew him best and was a very generous person. He loved to play spades with Cathy and Johnny
In addition to his late parents, Bob was preceded in death by his half brother. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 26 years of marriage, Brenda L. Dorrell McCleary; his three daughters, Kim Riddle (Robert Briscoe), Tina Riddle (Thomas Glenn) and Cindy wife of Brian Potter; his 13 grandchildren; his 10 great grandchildren and 3 on the way; and his two half brothers.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services. Services will be private
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Bobby's honor to the American Cancer Society or to Accentcare Hospice Delaware
