Ms. Gwen D. Sutherland

Ms. Gwen Danieli Sutherland, age 75 of Millsboro, Delaware passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, she was Gay Rita Danieli, the only child of Laura Danielli and George Ciccolella. She graduated from Central High School, Class of 1950, University of Montana, Class of 1983, and earned her Masters Degree in Education from Grand Canyon University.
Gwen taught history and humanities at Madison #1 Middle School in Phoenix, Arizona. Following her teaching retirement, she become a graphic designer running her own company, Marketing Bitz, for 12 years.
Gwen enjoyed learning about the world, ancient history, politics, Fleetwood Mac, and literally any Chardonnay from California. Most especially, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving family, especially her two daughters, Nelly Arnold and Amanda Arnold, her ex-husband Joseph Arnold, and her grandchildren, Wynn, George and Josephine. Gwen will be dearly missed by her numerous friends and neighbors in Arizona, Montana, and Delaware.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services.
