Robert Michael McGrath 1961 - 2024
It is with great sadness that Bob's family announces his unexpected passing on August 2, 2024 at the age of 63.
Bob was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend.
Bob grew up in Quincy, Massachusetts as the youngest child of the late John and Patricia (Hance) McGrath. He attended North Quincy High School and graduated in the Class of 1979.
He loved his family especially his two sons, Jack McGrath of Hull and Sam McGrath of Somerville.
He is predeceased by his sister Patricia Callahan of Hingham, and his brother Stephen F. McGrath.
He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Maureen (Thomas) Flaherty of Cohasset, John (Marla) McGrath of Boca Raton, Florida, Lawrence McGrath of East Bridgewater, Kate (Susan) Sawkiewicz of Duxbury, Jane Shore (George, deceased) of Braintree, brother in-law Paul Callahan of Hingham and Karen McGrath McKenzie of Hull.
Bob is also survived by a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins,
He was a proud member of the Laborers' International Union of North America (Tunnel Workers). Bob was a kind soul who always looked on the bright side of life. He loved watching sports, a day at the beach, the North End, and Vermont (Lake Champlain).
He will forever be in our hearts and prayers.
