Obituary of Robert Mistretta
Robert Mistretta, 82, of Russel PA, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 24, 1941, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late James Joseph Mistretta "Gunka" and Rose Mistretta. Robert was a 1960 graduate of Jamestown High School.
Robert worked at MRC/SKF for 44 years. He was an avid weightlifter, Jiu Jitsu instructor and a Christian. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He leaves behind his wife Patricia Mistretta of 60 years that he enjoyed spending every moment with and his beautiful family.
Surviving are four children Vicki (Rory) Hollabaugh of Jamestown, Wendy (Steve) Johnson of Jamestown, James Mistretta (Pam) of Pittsburgh and Barbara (Todd) Rankin of Findley Lake.
His 12 grandchildren that loved him and knew him as "Papa" Bill (Jayme) Lindberg, Josh Rankin, Adam (Lindsay) Rankin, Heather (Ricky) Turner, Rachelle (Steve) Soto, Jennifer (Neil) Flanders, Nicole (Devon) McCray, Reanne; Alyssa; Anthony; Jessica; and Jimmy Mistretta and 18 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his youngest son Robert "Bobby" Mistretta (Amy).
As Papa's request no funeral services will take place, in lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his honor to Hospice of Warren County; 1 Main Avenue, Warren, PA 16365.
