Robert Andrew "Bob" Mueller

Mr. Robert "Bob" Mueller passed away peacefully in his home in Matthews, North Carolina on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the age of 83. He was lovingly surrounded by his family.
A memorial service is scheduled for April 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church Columbarium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Pastor Ryan Ritzmann will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends at a remembrance ceremony to be held at the Windsor Run Senior Living Community from 12:30 – 2:30 pm. All are welcome to attend and to celebrate Bob's life.
Bob was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was the son of Earl and Anna Mueller. He graduated from George Washington High School in Alexandria, Virginia in 1957 and attended the University of Virginia, Arlington, Virginia campus. Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era of the Korean War and was previously a member of the American Legion in Hagerstown, Maryland.
He retired from Verizon Communications after 41 years of dedicated service to the telephone company businesses also including Bell Atlantic and Western Electric. Upon his retirement he was in the position of Warehouse Engineering Manager.
Bob enjoyed an active lifestyle including RV traveling, line dancing, golf, bocce ball, playing cards and billiards. His biggest smiles were always on view when he was doing what he loved to do.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Shaffer, also of Matthews, North Carolina; his three children, Carol Savoy Stoolmiller of Odenton, Maryland; Tina Marie Ginsburg of Severn, Maryland and Robert Charles Mueller of Punta Gorda, Florida; Six grandchildren including Darienne Savoy, Sierra Ginsburg, Kelsey Mueller, Robert Chance Mueller, Gage Mueller and Piper Mueller. He is also survived by his son in law, Robert Scott Stoolmiller, and daughter in law, Jodi Mueller and his two sisters Donna Mae McClain of Temple, Texas and Elaine Marie Wilson of Indian Land, South Carolina.
