Robert William Polovino, known affectionately as Bob to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, at the age of 78 in Westland, MI. Born on May 21, 1947, in Wayne, MI, Bob was the cherished son of the late Micheal and Virginia Polovino.
Bob's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his country. He proudly served in the Army, a testament to his love for his nation. Following his military service, Bob embarked on a long and distinguished career at Ford Automotive. For 37 years, he was a respected Technological Specialist, known for his work ethic and his ability to provide for his family.
He shared a beautiful and loving marriage with his wife, Judith Polovino, and together they raised three daughters: Pamela (Robert) LeBlanc, Andrea (Steven) Fick, and Kimberly (Mark) Kennedy. Bob was a proud brother to Ronald and Roseann. His role as a devoted grandfather to Jeremy Fick, Shelby Lafferty, Lylee Fick, and Marlee LeBlanc, and great-grandfather to Jaxson Perusse and Oakleigh Lafferty, brought him immense joy and fulfillment.
Bob's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He relished the opportunity to travel, seeking adventure and new experiences with his beloved family. An avid outdoorsman, he found serenity in hunting and fishing, often sharing the bounty of his pursuits with those he loved. Bob's faith was central to his life, and as a devoted Catholic, he lived his values with quiet strength and conviction.
Always ready to lend a hand, Bob was the quintessential handyman. His intelligence and innate understanding of mechanics allowed him to fix just about anything, from cars to household items. His family often marveled at his ability to figure out how things worked or how to repair them with just a glance.
Bob's warm-hearted nature and steadfast presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy is one of love, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to his family and faith. The memories of his laughter, wisdom, and the comfort of his presence will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
As we bid farewell to Robert William Polovino, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life filled with purpose, joy, and an abundance of love. His journey on earth may have concluded, but his spirit and the impact of his life will forever resonate with us. Rest in peace, Bob. Your memory will be treasured eternally.
