Robert Willis Redick (Bobby) was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut, on October 09, 1938, the oldest child to Boysie and Blanche Stella Williams-Redick. He lived at Chestnut Hill Nursing Facility, where he peacefully departed on October 05, 2023.
He was employed as a school bus driver in Springfield, Massachusettes, for many years, which he happily drove until retirement. In addition, he was an avid spades player and the lottery scratch ticket king in his spare time. He loved having get-togethers with his family, which was the highlight of his life.
Robert was preceded by his parents, Boysie and Blanche Stella Williams Redick, his Spouse Isabelle Pertillar, and one brother, Earl David Redick.
Robert is survived by three brothers, Boysie Redick Jr and Dennis Redick of Springfield, MA., Leonard Redick of Bloomfield, CT, and one sister, Gloria Redick of Springfield, MA. He leaves to cherish his memories five daughters: Barbara(Charles)Ragin of Hartford, CT, Brenda Redick and (Gregory Borges) of Lanham, Maryland, Karen Redick and April Redick, both of Bloomfield, CT, and Robin(Willie)Gay Sr of Manchester, CT. He was the proud grandfather to 14, and Willie Gay Jr and Reginald Gay made sure that his last few years of life were the best by keeping a smile on his face and keeping him happy with whatever he wanted to do until his last days. In addition, he was a great-grandfather to 24, a great-great-grandfather to 2, and he had a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He also had a caregiver, Danielle Witherspoon, who was not just a caregiver; she was an exceptional caregiver because she went above and beyond to make him as comfortable as possible with no limitations. Rest in peace, Dad!
