The God who has graced our lives with a husband, grandfather, son, and brother saw fit to take the soul of, Robert E. "Bob" Roden Jr., age 77 of Litchfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family surrounding him following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Moulton, AL, on November 23rd, 1947, to the late Robert E. Roden Sr. and Lucy (West) Roden. Bob was a devoted follower of Christ and attended Church of Pentecost Brunswick. Bob was also a carpet installer and worked over 45 years for American Flooring Company. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Hank, Jim, Therman, Tommie and Lloyd Roden. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Janice Roden; three sons, Steve (Jessica) Roden of Duluth, MN, Robert Roden of Brunswick, OH, Johnny (Katie) Roden of Litchfield, OH; six adored grandchildren, Jacob, Logan, Kylie, Jared, and Abbey Roden, and also, Abby Tarleton; a sister, Dora Abel of Memphis, TN, two brothers, Roy (Barb) Roden of Rittman, OH, and Anthony Roden of Bethel Springs, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, at 1 p.m. in Carlson Funeral Home Brunswick chapel with Pastor Matthew Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Litchfield Township Cemetery to follow. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 10-12 noon and 4-6 p.m. in the Brunswick chapel.
