Robert "Kevin" Sherrer, 52, passed away July 4, 2022 in Gwinnett County.
Kevin was born January 21, 1970 in Wilson, North Carolina to Robert "Bob" and Susan Sherrer. He married Carrie Sherrer in 1996 and they had 2 daughters, Madison and Hannah.
Kevin graduated from Etowah High School in 1988 and attended Georgia Tech, earning degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering. He spent his career working with data in roles ranging from software developer to senior database developer to senior database administrator.
An avid cook, Kevin enjoyed sharing the kitchen with his daughter Madison and sharing photos of their dishes. Kevin enjoyed playing soccer all through high school and well into adulthood. Kevin loved the outdoors, camping and hunting, and shared his love of hiking with his daughter Hannah. Kevin also loved flying and was able to obtain his private pilot's license, enjoyed renting planes and flying around Atlanta for fun.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Susan Sherrer and his father, Robert Sherrer.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Sherrer; daughters, Madison and Hannah; sister, Lynn Sherrer (Kim); brother, Keith Sherrer; brother, William Sherrer (Brittany); grandmother, Helen Norris (Joe, deceased); brothers-in-law, Mark Janowski and Jeff Janowski (Vicky).
A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, at Wages and Sons, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
