Mr. Robert "Squirrel" Vincent Simmons, 69, husband of the late Stacy Longmeyer, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Born in Greenville County, a son of the late William Buster Simmons and the late Mary Landreth Simmons, Mr. Simmons was the owner and operator of Simmons Tree Service and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Squirrel loved motorcycles, shooting pool and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He dearly loved going to the beach and mountains, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all that loved and knew him.
Surviving are his daughters, Kimberly Simmons Tate of Liberty, and Timber Rose Simmons of Central; his sons, Robert Clifton Simmons of Pendleton, Matthew Duane Simmons (Misty) of Central and Parker Vincent Simmons of Central; a brother, Billy Simmons (Nancy) of River Falls; a sister, Becky Bowman of Greenville; ten grandchildren and one on the way; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Squirrel was predeceased by four brothers, Dencil Simmons, Joe Simmons, Steele Simmons and Carl Simmons; and two sisters, Cora Mae Bennefield and Dolly Simmons.
The family and friends will host a memorial ride 11:00 AM Sunday, March 16, 2024 starting at the Lucky Jar in Easley. The ride will end at the Easley Moose Lodge where a Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM..
