Robert (Bob) Stack, age 79, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024.
Bob was born on April 17, 1945. He grew up in Louisville, Ky and graduated from Flaget High School in 1961. Bob went on to obtain a masters degree in Business Accounting from Bellarmine University. He was an accomplished musician and was a member of numerous bands that performed at nightclubs, hotels and weddings. Bob skillfully played several instruments and had a beautiful tenor singing voice.
Bob was a valued member of the Covington Catholic High School staff since 2006 and wore many hats. He took meticulous care of the grounds, served as a substitute teacher, worked hundreds of athletic events, supervised the tuition assistance work-study program and many other responsibilities on the school campus. Bob was a beloved friend and mentor to many and showed kindness to all. He touched the lives of many young people, coworkers and friends. Bob considered the CCH Community his family.
Bob was preceded in death by a sister and his parents. He is survived by 3 sons and a sister and his long time friend Kathleen Keppel. He has chosen cremation. A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 7:30 pm at Covington Catholic High School Grotto, inside the Dennis Griffin stadium, 1600 Dixie Hwy, Park Hills, Ky. Those who wish to share a word about Bob will be recognized.
