Daniel L. Bickers, age 84, of Elsmere, Kentucky, departed this life on August 20, 2025. Born on February 23, 1941, in Sparta, Kentucky, he was the son of Robert and Lucille Bickers (née Hughes).
Dan is preceded in death by his father, Robert, his mother, Lucille, and two beloved daughters, Donna Mullins and Darlene Bickers. He is survived by his cherished wife, Linda G. Bickers (née Yancey), as well as his daughter, Tina L. (John) Rodgers and son, Danny E. (Lori) Bickers and son-in- law Bobby Mullins. He was a proud grandfather of many, including Brett Mullins, Brooke (Troy) Beach, Brittany (Timmy) Frohlich, Jacob (Jade) Rodgers, Timothy Rodgers, Jonathan (Breanne) Rodgers, Tamara (Bryan) Carnes, Jordan (Megan) Rodgers, Amber (Tye) Robinson, Darrin Rodgers, Ciara Rodgers, Paige (Robert) Hartke, Shyan (David) Tittle, Jason Bickers, Emily (Lance) Buford, Andrew Bickers, Alexis Bickers, and Sally Stropko. Dan was also blessed with 29 great-grandchildren and other cherished family members and friends.
Dan was a man of many passions. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, and working on home projects. Alongside his wife Linda, he devoted many years to the TA Truck Stop ministry and took on the roles of Sunday school teacher and deacon for many years. His love of the outdoors extended to his children and grandchildren, as he shared countless memories through various family activities. A member of the Flying Cardinals RC Club, Dan found joy in flying remote control airplanes and was known for his awe of the night sky as a perpetual stargazer.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, with visitation from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Highland Cemetery, located at 2167 Dixie Highway, Fort Mitchell, Kentucky 41017.
