Robert Dennis Stein

Robert D. "Bob" Stein, 92, of Kimball Township, left us on October 17, 2025.
He was born on April 11, 1933, to the late Frank and Eleanor Stein. He married Olive "Bunny" Doyle on November 4, 1956. Bob served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal and as a Track Mechanic. He was a supervisor at St. Clair Rubber Company for 30 years until the plant closed. He also worked at the local IGA in Wadhams as a maintenance worker for many years.
Bob was always helping his children with their homes; family mattered to him. He would help anyone who needed it. He served on the Wadhams Chamber of Commerce where he helped organize Wadhams Sawmill festivals. Bob and Bunny traveled with their family to California, Florida and everywhere in-between, including a trip to Germany where he had served in the Army.
Bob is survived by his wife, Bunny; children, Debbie Stein of Port Huron, Duane (Riza) Stein of Jacksonville, Florida, Nancy (Wayne) Schroeder of Kimball, and Renee (Alan) Sloan of Naples, Florida; seven grandchildren, Eric, Laura, Nicholas, Devin, Robbie, Sam, and Palmer; six great-grandchildren, Kainen, Tanner, Grayson, Elon, Sophia, and Nora; brother, Joseph (Leona) Stein; and sister-in-law, Vera Stein. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Phil and Ken Stein as well as his sister, Ruth Ann.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center, 4521 Ravenswood Road, Kimball, MI 48074. A memorial service with military honors will begin at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place privately at Caswell Cemetery.
