Robert Lee Strunk age 86 of Stearns, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born May 10, 1938 in Stearns, Kentucky to the late Croiser Strunk and Margaret (Wilson) Strunk.
His parents precede him in death.
Robert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Wanda Ruth (Whittenberg) Strunk; sons, Steve Strunk (wife, Cindy) and Mark Strunk (wife, Writha); daughter, Jennifer Strunk; grandchildren, Jared, Heather, and Megan Strunk; and special friends at Big M Discount.
Robert was a coal miner in past time. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going hunting and fishing, and watching ball games. He especially loved going with his grandson, Jared. Robert was of the Christian faith and will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Boyd Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday after 1:00 pm until service time.
Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
