Robert Michael Tischler

Robert Michael Tischler of Mashpee MA passed away on March 16th 2025, at the age of 68. Born in Burlington VT, he was the son Theodore Karl Tischler Jr. and Margaret Downey Tischler. Cape Cod was his home for most of his life, growing up in Chatham, then Orleans and Mashpee.
He attended Rumson Country Day School in N.J, until grade 7. He graduated from Chatham High School in 1974.
He then attended Cape Cod Community College and Grahm Junior College. He started his career in cable television in 1977, working for a number of cable companies in southeastern MA as a technician and supervisor. He retired in 2016.
From a young age, he was very much a car enthusiast, especially cars of the 1960's. He held dear the 1968 Buick Skylark Custom that he bought in 1978 and still owned to this day.
He married Mary O'Keeffe in 1985 and together they explored their love of cars, especially the Mercury Marauder, which also came with dear friends from around the world. They raised rabbits as their Furbabies for 25 years. Their travels took them to England, Scotland, Bermuda and Australia, and to Marauder car club Meets around the US.
Besides Mary, he leaves his sister, Katie Faucher and her husband, Roger Faucher of Chatham, his niece Amanda Constant and her husband Corey Constant of Chatham, and his other niece, Cece Clement and her husband Jeff Clement of Pinellas Park, FL, and grandnephews, Jacob and Zachary Constant and Parker and Jackson Clement. He also leaves lifelong friends, Frank Carey of Brewster and Jamie DeSimone of the Philippines.
Burial will be private. A Celebration of Life will take place on his birthday, April 4, 12-2pm at Family Table Collaborative, 1338 Rte 28, South Yarmouth, MA.
