Robert Wagner

Robert (Rob) William Wagner was born on January 16th, 1944. He passed away peacefully from cancer on December 31, 2025 at the age of 81. He was a man whose life quietly but powerfully testified to the meaning of love, strength, and unwavering commitment.

Rob loved golf and always wanted to play for money, even a dollar bet so something was on the line. Rob was a legendary pool shark-especially known for quietly turning his winnings into new bikes for his kids. He found many happy moments at the Eagles Campground with his sweetheart Geri…relaxing, floating the river, and soaking in time with family and friends. Rob was a passionate skier well into his 70s, he never lost his sense of adventure, and this brought joy to his life. He shared his love for golf with his son & skill with gambling with his daughter. Rob worked for the Union Pacific railroad his entire career. He served his country in the army reserves for many years as well, but Rob will be best known for his love, devotion and service for his sweetheart wife Geri.

For 15 years, Rob devoted himself to caring for his beloved wife when she was incapacitated from a brainstem injury due to a car accident. He took on every responsibility with quiet patience and humility. He honored her life, her home, and everything she loved, even when she could no longer speak for herself. He never sought recognition-only to do what was right-and his actions revealed a depth of loyalty, tenderness, and inner strength that spoke more powerfully than words.

Rob will be remembered not only for what he did, but for who he was: a man of unwavering commitment, quiet strength, and profound integrity. His example showed what it truly means to love fully and faithfully through life's hardest seasons, leaving a legacy that lives on in all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter Becky (Bryan) Mackenzie, his son Brett (Christy) Wagner and his brother Rick Wagner (Lynette). He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren Rhett (Kallie) MacKenzie, Cody (Jennifer) MacKenzie, Krystin(Alex) Amaya, Bo (Karley) Wagner, Braiden (Heather) Wagner, Brittley (Jericho) Hill & Branson (Megan) Wagner. He was also blessed with 17 great grandchildren, oh yes and his sassy pants puppy " Bandit"!

He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine (Geri), father Richard "Heinie" Wagner, mother Blanche Wagner, sister Jackie Lameroux, mother & father-in-law Maxine & Jerry McGuire.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10th, 2026 at Myers Mortuary located at 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84404

Family & Friends visitation will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:20 PM and the Celebration of his Life will begin at 1:30 PM.
