Robert John Werner

Robert John Werner "Bob", age 84, of Ross Twp. passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Beloved husband for 44 years of the late Marilyn Werner; father of Terri (Randy) Stevens, Tim (Tricia) Gasper, Joan Thornton, and the late David Gasper; grandfather of Jack (Shelly) Flamgletti, Nikki (Josh) Orolin, Sebastian Thornton, Jeremy Gasper, and Jacob Gasper; great grandfather of Andrew and Evelyn Orolin. Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 7 from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. at Simons Funeral Home, Inc., 7720 Perry Hwy, Pgh, PA 15237. Bob was a member of the first graduating class of North Allegheny High School in 1960. In 1969 he founded Werner Jewelers in the Clark Building, downtown Pittsburgh. The business later relocated to its current location in the Pines Plaza, North Hills, where it has been for the past 28 years. Bob was a member of the F & AM Lodge 716. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing 3 card poker at the casino downtown.
