He was employed with General Accident Ins. Co. in Philadelphia for many years as a regional manager where he developed insurance coverage training sessions for attorneys and peers. He had a passion for teaching and excelled at mathematics, chess and logic puzzles.

Bob was a loving, devoted father who cherished spending time with his children. He always encouraged exercise and academics and made sure to inject fun and creativity into it all. He placed immense value on someone’s birthday at it allowed him to express his love for them, especially his children. His passion and love set an example on the type person his children could become.

Bob was highly active throughout his entire life. His main passion became spending time in the outdoors hiking and kayaking with Donna. They conquered trails up and down the East Coast from N. Carolina to New England and Tennessee to the shores of Delaware. Except for Maine and S. Carolina they had hiked the Appalachian Trail, along with numerous 4000’ mountains in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina. With just a camera, sandwich and bottle of water they would hike sunrise to sunset. Bob was also known to Havertown residents walking the streets with a book pressed to his face.
