Robert C. Zutter, age 95, lifelong Marinette area resident, passed away peacefully at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area on Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was born March 18, 1930 in Marinette to Carl and Gladys (Stewart) Zutter. Bob graduated from Marinette High School with the Class of 1948 and enlisted in the Coast Guard after graduation. After returning from military service Bob went to work for the Railway Express Agency until they ceased operations in 1975. He then joined the administrative staff of Northland Lutheran Retirement Community as Purchasing Manager and later became Housing Manager for Northland Village until retiring in 1992.
On July 23, 1960 he married the former Barbara Nelson of Marinette. She preceded him in death on October 26, 2006.
Bob was a longtime member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, a life member of the Marinette Elks Lodge and for over 35 years, a member of the Marinette County Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society, serving many years as an officer and treasurer. He was also a member of Little River Country Club and played golf until the age of 91.
He is survived by his daughter, Jean (Robert) Todzy of Porterfield; a niece and her husband, Kathy and Rich Ludt of Marinette and Florida; a nephew and his wife, David and Debbie Dobbin of Australia and their daughters, Sarah (Peter) and Sonia Fisher-Dobbin; as well as many cousins and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents, Carl and Gladys; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria and Clayton Dobbin.
Visitation will be at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 1 until 4 p.m. A service will follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Lee Goodwin and the Rev. Kenneth Michaelis officiating. A dinner reception after the service will be held at the Marinette Elks Lodge, 430 Bridge St. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
