Roberto Jose Calderon, 46, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on November 18, 2024. Beloved husband of Suzanna Acosta. Loving father to Samantha and Nicholas (Ahvionne Brown) Acosta. Adored son of Juan Calderon and Caridad Nazco. Cherished grandson of the late Jose and Eugenia Nazco. Dear brother of Jessica (Marcus Noble) Calderon, David Benevides, Stephanie Benevides, Juan Carlos Calderon and step-brother to Carlos Diaz, Alba Diaz, Alex Gonzales and Denise Gonzales. Treasured nephew of Barbara (John Mazar) Nazco Mazar and Lazaro Nazco. Proud uncle to Cassandra Soto, Savannah Noble, Aubrey Noble, Damien Benevides, Rose Revera, Ethan Enriques, Peyton Acosta Chambers and many others. Dear cousin of Natalie Trevinos and Daniel Trevinos. Brother-in-law to Jorge (Jessica Chambers) Acosta and son-in-law of Cathy Acosta. God-father to Nataya Santillian and Piltrice Holmes. He will be dearly missed by his life long friend Eduardo (Tracey) Santillian and the whole Santillian family. Roberto will be missed by many other friends and family.
He loved comics, especially Dragon Ball Z, watching WWE wrestling and singing karaoke. He also enjoyed being outside and running 5k races. Roberto lived in Rogers Park for many years attending Pierce Elementary School and Senn High School. He graduated from Hialeah High School outside of Miami where he lived for several years with his grandparents. Roberto then moved back to Chicago and worked at Jewel-Osco and Romanian Kosher foods for many years. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 12-3pm with a memorial service at 1:30pm.
