Roger A. Hanson, 67 of Mandan, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center.
Per Roger’s wishes there will not be any services, cremation has taken place.
Roger was born July 13, 1958, in Bismarck, son of Orville and Darlene (Henry) Hanson. He graduated from Mandan High School. Roger was in the navy for a short amount of time right after graduation. Roger lived in several places; one was in Kent WA where he worked for Boeing Aircraft before deciding that North Dakota was where his heart was. He also worked at Superior Silk Screen in Bismarck for many years. Later in life, he moved to Oklahoma, where he met Cheryl Stamper in April of 2009 and they were married on October 07, 2009. Together they moved to North Carolina, and then South Carolina, before he moved back to Mandan ND in October 2020.
Roger is survived by his sister, Janelle (Dale) Spitzer and their kids Kaleb and Kendra, brother-in-law Rocky Erhardt and his kids Jim Erhardt and his daughter Angela, Jen Erhardt and Jessica (Chris) Ogden and their son Chaske, and his other nephews Travis and Josh Boehm, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his close special friends, Tim and Karen Kautzman of Montana.
Roger is preceded in death by his infant son, Nathan, parents Orville and Darlene, sisters Patricia Erhardt and Pamela Boehm, brother-in-law Clarence Boehm, grandparents, as well as several aunts, uncles, and other family members.
