Mr. Roger Dean Coleman, age 68, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 7:07 AM at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 6:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 1:00 PM with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
Roger was born on April 18, 1956 in Simpson County, KY to the late Earl "Preacher" Coleman and the late Lucille (Fulcher) Coleman. He is also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dean Coleman and a spouse, Linda Williams Coleman; two sisters, Lily Coleman and Caroline Coleman; and two brothers, Jerry Coleman and Tony Coleman.
He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Becky Denning; one son, Craig Allen Coleman of Franklin, KY; two sons, David Denning and Brian Carver both of Bowling Green, KY; three grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Law of Franklin, KY; three brothers, Ray Coleman of Franklin, KY, Mike Coleman of Franklin, KY and Kenneth Coleman of Glasgow, KY; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Roger was a graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School. He was a retired concrete truck driver. Roger enjoyed watching boxing matches, football and basketball games and old westerns on television.
