Roger Lynn Huskins, 53, of Erwin, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Johnson City and was a son of Arvil and Linda Peterson Huskins. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his grandparents, R.C. and Revonda Peterson. In addition to his parents, those left to cherish memories of Roger are his wife, Melinda Huskins, sister, Stephanie (Sissy) Holden, brother, Carl Huskins, son Hunter Huskins, nieces, Ashley Taylor (David) and Hannah Holden, great nieces: Melody Taylor, Aubrey Huskins and Aurora (Rose) Huskins, nephews: Zack Huskins (Ariel), Corey Harris and Blake Huskins; great nephew, Garrett Taylor, aunt, Lisa Hand (Don), cousins: Missy Ingram (Brandon), Sofia Ingram, and Savannah Ingram. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Roger Lynn Huskins in a funeral service at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Simmons officiating. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 pm and will continue until service time on Thursday. A graveside committal service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery in on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 11:00 am. Those attending the committal service will need to meet at Valley Funeral Home by 10:30 am on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
