Roger Joseph Lensmire, age 90, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025 at Songbird Pond in Plymouth.
He was born on October 11, 1934, in the Town of Mitchell, WI, a son of the late Matthew and Pauline (Wolf) Lensmire.
He attended Parnell Grade Schools and attended Plymouth High School. On February 18, 1956, he married Janet Skelton at St Michaels Catholic Church in Parnell. They had six children.
Roger grew up working on the family farm, and then worked at Borden's Cheese Company in Plymouth for 39 years, retiring in 1997.
On December 14, 1985 he married Marlene Wiehr at Trinity United Methodist Church in Waldo.
The couple resided in the Plymouth area following their marriage. Marlene preceded him in death on November 30, 2023.
He played music in his brother's band "Matt Lensmire" for over 60 years, playing tenor saxophone, clarinet and harmonica. He still played his saxophone and harmonica in his final days. Roger enjoyed fishing, boating, waterskiing, golfing, and playing dartball. He was a member of the Sheboygan County Senior League and of a card club, where he and his friends enjoyed playing Uecker. He also enjoyed the company and love of his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roger had a huge family who he cherished his time with.
He is survived by: six children, Pat (Julie) Lensmire of Town of Mitchell, Jeff (Debbie) Lensmire of Plymouth, Penny (Phil) Jones of Sheboygan, Pam (Andy) Liermann of Town of Lyndon, Tracy (Jimmy) Grindel of Phoenix, AZ, and Terese Edwards (special friend Rick) of Town of Plymouth; Grandchildren, Jesse (Leah) Lensmire, Joshua Lensmire, Stacey Lensmire, Jeremy (Christina) Lensmire, Jeff Jr (Christi) Lensmire, Jason (Nikki) Lensmire, Ben Lensmire, Carmen Lisowe, Chrissy DeSmidt, Jake DeSmidt, Blake (Jordan) Liermann, Bobbi Liermann, Terri Schanen, Kasey Schanen, Alyssa (Michael) Niemiec, Taylor (Betsy) DeSmidt, and Kassi (Andrew) Cecere; Three step-sons: Gary (Mary) Aderman of Sheboygan, Daniel (Laurie) Aderman of Plymouth, Lee (Jackie) Aderman of Glenbeulah; Many great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; Two brothers, Dale (Rosie) Lensmire of Plymouth and Tim Lensmire of Town of Plymouth; Two sisters, June Galloway of Plymouth and Judy (Jack) Slattery of Dundee; One sister-in-law: Margaret Halle of Plymouth; Three Brothers-in-law, Willard (Sharon) Wiehr of Sheboygan, and Larry (Barbara) Wiehr of the State of Oregon; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Matt and Gary Lensmire; Son-in-law, Bruce Edwards; Sister, June Galloway; Brothers-in-law, Jack Slattery, Arvin Halle, Edward Wiehr, and Roy Miller; and sisters-in-law Charlene Lensmire and Carol Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Pastor Aaron Martell will officiate.

So sorry and sad to hear of Rogers passing. Roger and Marlene were wonderful neighbors to have living nearby. They will always be remembered and those memories will be cherished forever.
