With extreme sadness I tell you of the passing of Roger D. Maurer of Cherry Hills, Colorado on April 16, 2025.
He was, and always will be, a special person to those who knew him. Although he called Chicago, Illinois his “hometown” growing up, he was a diehard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team throughout his life. Roger graduated from Claremont McKenna College and received his Masters degree from Denver University. Roger had a long, successful career as an economist and financial advisor. Golf and skiing were two of his passionate leisure activities, as well as driving sports cars. On clear sunny days he loved to get in one of his cars and drive. It didn’t matter to where, the enjoyment for him was being behind the wheel. He will be remembered for his intelligence, his kind, bright smile and his wit. He is sorely missed.
A remembrance for Roger will be planned for later in the summer.
