Roland L. Theroux

Roland Lucien Theroux, 96, of Bristol, RI formerly of Falmouth, MA passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023, at the RI Veterans Home. Born in Woonsocket, RI son of the late Aurore (Provensal) and Willie Theroux.
Veteran of WWII, Korean War and Vietnam, he served in the Navy, Army and retired from the Air Force. Roland worked as a civilian at Otis AFB for 21 years working as a heavy equipment operator.
He was a Charter Member of the Falmouth Elks Lodge, a Member of the American Legion (Village FL and Cecil Post 15 Elkton, MD) and the Falmouth VFW. Roland enjoyed traveling, fishing and family BBQ's and clam boils.
For 48 years he was the beloved husband of the late Juliette (Martins) Theroux. Devoted father of Wayne Theroux and his companion Sharon Schwartz of Summerfield, FL and Mark Theroux and his wife Laura of Bear, DE. Adored grandfather of Chaundra Ruiz, Sheri Theroux, Shad Theroux (Jessica). Great grandfather of Chanelle Smith, Cyana Ruiz, Sophia White, Lilah Ruiz, Evan Theroux, and Zander Theroux. Longtime companion of the late Marilyn Hopkins and her daughters Diane Gleason, Debbie DiRenzo, Darlene Owens, and Donna McConnell.
Visitation will be held at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 584 West Falmouth Highway (Rt.28A), west Falmouth on Tuesday, June 20 from 4-6PM. Services will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne on Wednesday, June 21 at 10:45AM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Massachusetts Military Support Foundation, 1015 South Inner Road, Buzzards Bay, MA 02542
