It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roman Fediuk of Thompson Ridge, NY, who left us peacefully on August 23, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born on June 29, 1948, in Villach, Austria, Roman was a devoted husband, brother, Uncle and friend whose life was marked by hard work, generosity, and a deep love for family and friends. Proud of his Ukrainian heritage, he carried it with dignity and reverence. Roman was everyone's friend, full of life, happiness, and he had an infectious laugh. He took great pride in his accomplishments and cherished the many friendships he made along the way.
A graduate of Mount Saint Mary College and New York University, Roman built a stellar career in the pharmaceutical industry, holding senior positions at several leading companies before founding C&R Pharmaceuticals, his own consulting firm. His work allowed him to travel the world, and he earned the respect of colleagues for his knowledge, integrity, and strong work ethic.
Beyond his professional life, Roman was known for his kindness, quick wit and joking personality. He had a gift for lighting up a room, whether the room wanted to be lit up or not. In high school, he was a standout athlete in both football and wrestling, forging friendships and memories that lasted more than 60 years. He attended countless summer barbecues to reconnect with teammates and relive those shared moments. Forever a proud Middie.
Roman was predeceased by his parents, George and Anastasia Fediuk, and by his lifelong best friend, Jerry Novesky. He and his wife, Christine, took pride in providing his beloved mother with dedicated care during the last years of her life. Roman also carried in his heart the memory of his brother Ïhor, the sibling no one knew, who passed away as an infant; he always kept a photo of Ïhor in his office. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Fediuk, with whom he shared countless adventures; his step-son, Joseph Perry; his brothers, Bohdan (and his late wife, Kathy), Russell (and his wife, Diane), Walter (and his wife, Vera), and Stephen (and his wife, Michelle); his sister, Mary Norton (and her husband, Paul); as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Each will forever treasure his guidance, humor, and unconditional love.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY 10940, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:30 PM at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 141 Sarah Wells Trail, Campbell Hall, NY 10916. Roman will be laid to rest at the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, near the church. Following the burial, family and friends are invited to a Repast on the church grounds to share a meal and stories in remembrance of Roman.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to An Orphan Smiles, P.O. Box 175, Kimberton, PA 19442, an organization dedicated to helping Ukrainian orphans.
Let us always remember Roman for his strength, sense of fun, and the joy he brought into the lives of all who knew him.
