Ron J. McKay

Ron J. McKay, age 90, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, in Jupiter, FL. Born on September 13, 1934, in McKeesport, he was the cherished second son of Thomas Rea and Irene Reilly McKay. Proud of his Irish heritage, Ron was known for his positivity, warm spirit and genuine attentiveness.

He is survived by sons, Timothy and Patrick; grandsons, Ian and Brandon; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Liam and Zoey. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Maralyn.

A graduate of McKeesport Area High School (1952), Duquesne University, and the University of Pittsburgh Law School, Ron served as an Army lieutenant. He established a successful law practice in Pittsburgh and McKeesport and later collaborated at Dodardo, Kennedy and Cambest. Deeply committed to his faith, Ron supported St. Angela Merici Church with legal counsel and other committees over the years.

Renowned for his storytelling and hospitality, Ron cherished time spent with family, friends and his community.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring Ron will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, 2701 Kelly Street, White Oak, PA 15131. Following the Mass, family and friends are invited to gather for a luncheon at the home to share memories and celebrate a well-lived life.
