Ronald Abbott Obituary
Beloved husband of Katherine M. (Scarborough) Abbott; father of Paul Abbott (Kimberly) and Karen Kahler (Charles); grandfather of Connor, Luke, Jake, and Mia; brother of Donald Abbott and Richard Abbott; also survived by nieces and nephews.
Ron graduated from Bellevue High School and received a degree in Mathematics from Grove City College, proudly claiming that he took every math class they had to offer. He moved to the Philadelphia area where he worked in IT positions for multiple companies for over 50 years. He was proud of his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, often relaying their successes and accomplishments to others. He loved bowling and watching the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia sports teams.
Family will welcome friends Friday, January 2nd from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Schellhaas & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143 (Franklin Park/Wexford), where a Blessing Service will be held following visitation at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.

I will miss my dad.
I will always be proud of how he cared for my mom when she needed him most.
Some of my favorite memories are of his swimming in our pool with my sons, Connor, Luke, and Jake, making them laugh-Connor once shouted, "Grandad, you are awesome!"
I also cherish the times my four-year-old daughter would FaceTime him; his disheveled hair would make her burst out laughing, and soon we´d both be on the floor, laughing together.
As a father, I can´t think of a better moment to share with my daughter than laughing together like that, and my dad will always be a part of that memory.
