Ronald Bell Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Ronald Bell (Cricket), who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Ron fought each day until God called him home.
Ron was born on August 2, 1960, and spent his entire life in Omer, Michigan, where he was known and loved by many. Ron was hardworking, dependable, and loyal to many friends and family members.
Known affectionately as "Cricket" by friends and family, Ron loved the outdoors. He found joy in fishing, hunting, and spending time outside, especially when surrounded by the people he loved most.
Family was everything to Ron. He was a devoted husband to Deborah Bell (Weishuhn), a loving father to Ronnie Bell and Heather De La Vara (Bell), and a proud grandfather who cherished every moment with his grandchildren. He loved deeply and ensured that his family was always taken care of.
Ron is also survived by his mother, Margaret Bell, his children, Ronald Bell Jr and Heather De La Vara (Marcel) and his siblings: Connie Dearman (Rob), Cathy Cook (Tony), Sharon Zubor (Phil), Thomas Bell (Louann), and Dennis Bell. Ron was a grandfather to 7 grandchildren: Aiden, McKenzie, Isaac, Isaiah, Amelia and Liam and Jaxson De La Vara. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Bell, whose memory he carried with him always.
To know Ron was to know loyalty, friendship, and compassion. He was a hardworking man who gave without expecting anything in return, listened and cared for others, and provided so much laughter each and every day. To know him was to love him.
Ronald "Cricket" Bell will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and eternally loved. "You were my home, and now I carry you in my soul."
