Ronald Eugene Carpenter

Ronald Eugene Carpenter, age 58, of Harborcreek, was reunited with his beloved mother on Thursday, May 9, 2024. He was born in Erie on May 4, 1966, son of the late Linda Nicholson(Albert Carpenter, Jr.) and the man who helped raise him, James Nicholson.
Ronnie was the brother, both in blood and friendship, to,Douglas Carpenter, Eric Carpenter (Rachel), Terrance (Kathy) Nicholson, and Luke Ebright (Brenda); along with many other siblings. He was fondly known as "Uncle Rocky" and "Uncle Ronnie" by several of his loved nieces and nephews.
He was the husband to the love of his life, Tonya Mary, for 36 years, in which he created a beautiful legacy with. Ron cherished being a father to his two daughters, Victoria (Andrew) Pawlak and Kaitlyn (James) Beers; but arguably the best years and days of his life were spent surrounded by his five grandchildren, Kasen, Kinslee, Ronan, Camron, Ashton, and a bonus grandson, Branden.
The earliest of Ron's adult years, he served in the U.S. Army and shortly after began his career at General Electric. He then went on to retire from G.E., where he began the adventure he was born to take on, "Teddy Bear" or as most know it, stay-at-home Papa to look after three of his grandsons. Ron proudly wore the role of coach with Harborcreek Little League for many years and enjoyed bowling and golfing on Thursday nights. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and a good campfire with his buddies. When he wasn't doing that, he could be found in the garage, hand on his belly, jamming to a meaningful song with a drink in his hand. Ron knew no stranger and brought life into any room he walked into. He unapologetically reminded all those closest to him, "it's Ron's world and you're all just living in it" and while he loved to share his home for a good time, he was sure to let you know when it was time to "get out." His feel good, no nonsense demeanor will be missed beyond belief.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral and Cremation Services Harborcreek, 5151 Buffalo Road (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.) on Thursday, May 16th, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A private interment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery with Military Honors rendered at the convenience of the family.
