Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Deckert, age 63 of Wibaux, Montana, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive, Montana. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Bar 52 in Wibaux. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Ronnie was born on September 24, 1960 in Glendive to his parents Curtiss and Mary Alice (Deines) Deckert. He was raised and educated in Glendive, then moved to Oregon for a while and worked in a ship yard. He moved back to Montana and spent some time in Bozeman before moving back to Glendive. He worked for Fisher Sand and Gravel, and later Smith Tico, where Ronnie worked until his retirement in 2009 due to health issues.
Ronnie married Bonnie Stuhl on July 6, 2001 in Glendive. Bonnie passed away in September of 2008 in Wibaux. Ronnie later met Angie Troutner, and they have been together ever since.
Ronnie enjoyed fishing, cooking, adult beverages, camping, and pets, especially his dogs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, brother Curtis Deckert Jr., and his buddy (dog) Duncan.
Ronnie is survived by his special friend Angie Troutner of Wibaux; sister Debbie Laddusaw of Bozeman, MT, brother Dale (Del) Deckert, sister Carrie Wessell, brother David (Kari) Deckert all of Glendive; and numerous nieces and nephews.
