Ronald G. Flynn, age 68, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
Ronald was born on July 17, 1957 in Ashland, IL, a son of Raymond and Alma Flynn. He married Brenda Thomas on New Year's Eve of 2004 in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are their children, Jonathan (Nicole) Flynn of London, OH and Marie (Jake) Grady of Dekalb, IL, Stephanie Duffy, Heather wood and Rachel Drowns, all of Peoria, grandchildren, Connor, Evan, Jacie, Haley, Brandon, Emma, Zoe, Zadrien, Landon, Malayah and Andre, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews as well as brother, Raymond "Joe" (Susan) Flynn of Jacksonville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard and sister, Donna.
Ronald graduated from Ashland High School and enlisted. He proudly served in the United Sates Air Force, retiring Honorably after 20 years. He recently retired from FCA in Galesburg, where he was the plant manager.
Ronald enjoyed the outdoors and fishing, especially with his granddaughter, Haley. Ron and his brother raised SPOT pigs and enjoyed showing them at the State Fair. Ron was an avid sports fan and loved watching all sports, especially his St. Louis Cardinals. He also loved watching every Hallmark movie. He always had his beloved chocolates with him wherever he went.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the White Rose Food Pantry, 505 S. Main St, Bellevue, IL, 61604.
