R-J was a great announcer at WIZR. He had faith in my abilities and offered me my first job in radio. I was still in high school at the time, in the Spring of 1968. R-J and Gray Pitkin taught me techniques in radio that I have used, and I'm still using them after 58 years in radio. He called me "the kid" and I was the youngest D-J at WIZR. Thanks for the memories R-J, and I will spin one for you on WHCL, Clinton, and on WIRY, Plattsburgh where I keep the memories alive on the air.
