Mr. Ronald Anthony “Ron” Jakubczak, 84, entered eternal life on April 9, 2025.
Ron was born on March 11, 1941, in Bay City, Michigan, the son of Casimer & Amelia Jakubczak (née Bartkowiak). After graduating high school, Ron honorably served in the U.S. Air Force as an Air Policeman. On September 26, 1964, he wed the love-of-his-life, Ms. Priscilla D. LaBean. Together they shared countless memories, raised their four children, and celebrated over 60 years of marriage. Before retirement, Ron dedicated many years of service to General Motors as a repairman and continued work with the City of Vassar. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and lay minister at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish in Vassar, Michigan. His favorite hobby was cutting wood (and telling the rest of us we were doing it wrong!). Above all, Ron loved his family and will be deeply missed by them.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Priscilla Jakubczak; children: Tina (Paul) Trosper, Tammy (Jerry) Coyle, Tracie (Steve) Kean, and Ronald Matthew (Stephanie) Jakubczak; grandchildren: Elaina (Jordan) Sontag, Arron Trosper, Kennedy Kean, Addison Kean, Samantha Kean, Carson Kean, Bradyen Jakubczak, and Charlotte Jakubczak; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Holley; sister, Dody Yahn; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Ron’s family will receive visitors at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 2 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025; a rosary service will begin at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish in Vassar at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025; visitation at church will begin at 10 a.m. and last until the time of mass. Fr. Jose Pasala will preside.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish of Vassar, or for a perpetual mass to be celebrated in Ron’s name.
