December 2, 1936 - August 6, 2025

Ronald Joseph Trenda, age 88, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia. Born in Chicago, Illinois on December 2, 1936, Ronald was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Rose Trenda.

Ronald dedicated much of his working life as a lineman for the Illinois Central Railroad, a career marked by hard work and commitment. After retiring, he relocated to Valdosta around the year 2000. Later, he became a cherished member of the Langdale Place community where he was known for his lively sense of humor. He shared a close bond with his late brother, Jerry Trenda, who remained a significant part of his life.

He is survived by his nephews Terry Bradley of Valdosta, GA, Kevin Genge of Illinois, and his niece, Gail Jacks of Kentucky, along with many other family members and loved ones who will carry his memory forward.

Ronald was preceded in death by his two sisters Donnie Bradley of Valdosta, GA, and Ruth Genge of Elsmere, KY, and by his brother, Jerry Trenda of Valdosta, GA.

Honoring Ronald’s wishes, he will be cremated, and no formal services are planned. Those wishing to express condolences may do so online at www.mclanecares.com.
