Ronald Edmund Miller, 73, passed away peacefully at his home in Delta Township, Michigan, on September 9, 2025. Born on April 10, 1952, in Lansing, Michigan, son of Edmund and Glenna (Loudenbeck) Miller.
Ronald attended Grand Ledge High School, graduating with the class of 1971. His work life began on the family cattle farm alongside his parents, Edmund and Glenna Miller, where he developed a love for the land and the animals he tended. Ronald later took his hardworking nature to General Motors, dedicating 34 years to the company before his retirement. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life, as he was an active volunteer with the Lansing Red Cross, where he contributed to disaster relief efforts.
He shared 45 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Christine Miller, building a family and a home filled with love and laughter. Together, they raised three children, Brian, Michael, and Allison Lawcock, who in turn blessed Ronald with grandchildren, Scarlett and Payton Miller, all of whom he adored. Ronald was the steadfast cornerstone of his family, a role he embraced with joy and pride.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Christine; his sons, Brian and Michael Miller; his daughter, Allison Lawcock; his grandchildren, Scarlett and Payton; his sisters, Barbara (Frederick) Luther, Virginia (Robert) Hill, and Sue (David) Sayer; his sister-in-law, Colleen (Gary) Frens; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Glenna (Loudenbeck) Miller, and his sister, June Woodhams.
Known for his handy nature, Ronald was an avid woodworker who took pleasure in crafting furniture for their home, a hobby that showed his meticulous attention to detail and his creative talents. His love for the great outdoors was evident in his passion for gardening and landscaping, activities that not only beautified his surroundings but also brought him immense satisfaction. An outdoorsman at heart, Ronald found solace and joy in spending time up north with his good friend Barry Reynolds. He also had a deep love for animals.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, 11:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour before the service at Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge.
