Ronald Joseph "Ronnie" Millet was born on October 7, 1946. He was a native of Gramercy, LA and a resident of Sorrento, LA for 55 years. Ronnie passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 77.
Ronnie loved spending time outdoors at his fishing camp, crawfishing, tending to his garden, cooking for his family and friends, raising his chickens and rabbits, as well as watching LSU and Oakland Raiders play football. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball at St. Amant High School. Ronnie had so much knowledge, which he shared often with his sons-in-law and grandchildren.
Ronnie is survived by his three daughters, Latishia (Doug) Adams, Zoddie (Kevin) Bumgardner, and Mitzi (Jason) Adams; his grandchildren, Justin Bumgardner (Samantha), Brett Millet (Rebecca), Tyler Adams (Lacey), Jaci Kliebert (Tyler), Bailey Adams (Paige), and Kyle Adams; his great grandchildren, Brody, Brooks, and Breck Bumgardner, Piper Millet, and Quinn and Payton Kliebert; his brothers, Archie Millet (Paulette) and Dexter Millet (Brenda); and his sister, Jenny Brack (Donnie).
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Melinda Richardson Millet; parents, Leonce "Pic" and Sienna Bourgeois Millet; Mother and Father-in-law, Joseph Cliffton "JC" and Eunice Melancon Richardson.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Clarity Hospice and The Crossing, especially nurses Chad Truxillo and Terri Washington, for the love, care, and compassion they showed in caring for their father.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at The Venue in St. Amant from 9:30am until service time at 11:00am. Cremation services to follow.
Justin Bumgardner, Brett Millet, Bailey Adams, Kyle Adams, Tyler Adams, Jaci Kliebert will serve as pallbearers.
