Ronald "Ron" Warren Orbaugh, 87, of Chicago, IL passed away on September 16, 2024, in Chicago. He was born on May 15, 1937, in Madison County, IN to the late Daniel W. Orbaugh and Delma M. (Dobson) McMillian. Ron graduated from Anderson High School in 1955 and then faithfully served our country in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, he attended and graduated from Indiana University in 1963 with a bachelor’s degree in management and administration. After graduation, he began working for Borg Warner in the International Sales Department in Chicago. This is where his love of traveling began, and he was able to travel all over the world. Ron loved art and showing people around Chicago, introducing them to his favorite spots. He also enjoyed getting together with his dinner crew and spending many evenings laughing and eating delicious food. Most importantly, he loved his family and spending time with them.
Ron will be dearly missed by his cousins, Shelly (John) Geisinger; "grandchildren", Dustin (Stacey) Shannon, Stephanie (Jeremiah) Johns, Jessica (Travis) Thompson, and Grant Geisinger; and his stepsiblings, Monte (Sue) Baker, Gloria Tittle, and Sherry (Wayne) Vanhook.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday, September 30, 2024, at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Lindell Browning will be officiating. Memorial contributions in Ron's name may be gifted to the Madison County Spca Humane Society, https://www.mchsandersonin.org/donate. Ron's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes.
