It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Ronald “Ron” Policy, of Silver Lake, Ohio on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the age of 87 years.

Born on December 17, 1937, Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and June Policy. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his devoted wife of 26 years, Rita Lightfoot; his sister, Paula (Bob) Morris; his children, Jason (Colleen) Policy, David Tim Thibodeaux, Jody Thibodeaux (Brent) Bowman, and Jennifer Thibodeaux; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; cousins, Susan Rothmann, Pamela Rothmann, and Beth Rusnak; his loved dogs, Luc and Lola.

Ron graduated from Kent State University and went on to earn his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin. He dedicated 34 years of his career to Waddell & Reed Investment Firm in Austin, Texas before retiring. Upon retirement, Ron and Rita returned to Ohio, where they made their home in Silver Lake.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date.
