Ronald Leo Price
February 1, 1947 – May 3, 2024
Ronald Leo Price, 77 passed away Friday May 3rd, 2024 at Lebanon Community Hospital following a brief battle with Leukemia. Ron was born in Boulder City, Nevada to Leo Edward and Ethel Cooper Price on February 1st, 1947, the oldest of five children, and was raised in Henderson, Nevada. He graduated from Basic High School in 1966, where he was then drafted into the Army to serve in Vietnam the following year. While drafted he was a mechanic and in a company which operated as a Vehicle Track Retriever (VTR). Ron was nicknamed "The Ace" after painting the ace of spades on his VTR. He was wounded in action, reported MIA twice, and received a Purple Heart honor.
Ron married Bette Coen Sloan Price June 20th, 1970. Ron and Bette have loved five children and their spouses Amy, Sara, Tom, Kathy, & Lily. They've welcomed 18 grandchildren and have been blessed with 31 great grandchildren. If Ron wasn't spending time with family, he loved to be outside. He was passionate about fishing and hunting in his early life and more recently loved to photograph nature and go on walks. In addition, Ron was a man to give anyone a helping hand, and took many people in as family loving them as his own. With all of that, Ronald Price touched many people's lives, loved his family deeply and was a very loved man leaving big shoes to fill. We know he is happy and spending time with his friends and family today.
Survivors include Rons' wife, Bette Price of Lebanon; daughters Amy (Hal) of Idaho Falls, Sara (Todd) of Menan, Tom (Milissa) of Redmond, Kathy of Sweethome, and Lily (Dan) of Lebanon, sisters; Vicki, Patti, Debbie (Ralph); brother, Gary; 18 grandchildren, Patrick, Josey, Lyndi, Alexandria, Zachary, Savanna, Adam, Skylar, Autumn, Lexi, Logan, Leeland, Loukas, Daniel, Tori, Bryce, Ashley, and Monica; 31 great-grandchildren, Paysen, Dawson, Sloane, Damian, Makenna, Deacon, Josslyn, Camila, Parker, Paityn, Olivia, Oaklee, Navi, Redge, Saylor, Stockton, Sunny, Charlie, Victoria, Katharine, Zoey, Elliana, Raelynn, Theodore, Aryonna, Travis, Sophie, Colter, Mason, Adrien, and Emmalyn. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The family will receive friends at Huston-Jost Funeral Home Thursday, May 9th, 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday May 10th at Lacomb Bible Church followed by a graveside service at Lacomb Cemetery and a luncheon provided at the church.
